Yes, 13575 is good. I am running two 320Ns now, no problems. Flash 320N mini first (if your first time), then whatever you want, I am using the big version. I am running upnp on one of them, so that seems to work well now also. Flash away, but again, first the 320mini, then the firmware of choice.
Ok so the WRT320N can handle the "big" build? Is big just another word for the mega build or what? I don't think I have seen a build classified as "big." I think he is out to confuse me lol.
I have just successfully installed dd-wrt (flashed mini then flashed big) on my linksys wrt320n and am having a bit of trouble getting upnp working correctly with my PS3s.
I keep getting nat type 2 and upnp unavailable when i run the network test even though I have enabled it on the router.
I have even tried rebooting the router as well.
Any suggestions?
also, now that i have ddwrt installed am i able to install any ddwrt version i want or do i have to stick to the wrt320n specific versions?
So I flashed my new router with the "dd-wrt.v24-13493_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_wrt320n.bin" build a few hours ago.
It works fine and is a huge improvement over the linksys one :)
Anyway, this is my first time flashing a router and so far is has been a piece of cake.
But now I realise that SNMP is not part of the mini builds DOH!. I really loved using SNMP to generate traffic usage charts on my old Cisco 667 about ~10 years ago.
What is the procedure of upgrading from the mini build to the standard build and will I be able to do it from the Web UI? I have made some settings on the router lige WLAN, a few portforwards etc.
Yes, you can upgrade from mini to big or standard. Just follow the regular flashing procedure for this router.
Reset the router, then log back in to the 192.168.1.1 and do a firmware upgrade.
Once completed, go to 192.168.1.1 and make sure it is asking you to choose a new username and password.
Reset it again and then set the router to your settings.
Hi you guys!
I have a question. I have the wrt320n with the originall firmware. It works just fine for me, but I am considering installing DD-WRT for one reason.. The coverage is just not perfect for my other computer in the house. Would i solve this problem increasing the transmit power using DD-WRT? again, it isnt necessary to go much further, but just that little bit would help! thank you!

It would probably help yes. Just make sure to keep it well ventilated and don't get to carried away. If you turn it up too high you can overheat it with a stock cooling system. I am sure somebody on here will chime in later that knows exactly how high you can go safely with a stock cooler. _________________ WRT320N V1 mini - build 13575M NEWD-2 K2.6 Eko

i am using the dd-wrt 320N for half a year.
But lately I am having problems with the network.
I am using the latest 320N build.
When I start my computers, it can't find any network and when I look in command ipconfig, it says that there isn't any wireless network connected?
This is very strange because this doesn't happen all the time?
Mostly one time a day when I start my computer the first time?
The only way to fix it, is to cut of the power to the 320N router and restart it.
Normally that is enough to fix the problem.
Hopefully someone recognizes this problem and can help me with a solution?

I have seen others complain of this same issue. I have not had it personally though. _________________ WRT320N V1 mini - build 13575M NEWD-2 K2.6 Eko

Hey guys,
I've got a potentially stupid question to ask, I figure that asking will help me to not brick my router.
I know that in order to avoid possible bricks, before and after installing a fw you should "reset" the modem. I've read in this thread that some people have in fact done so successfully however the only thing mentioned here about resetting the modem is the actual action of doing it but not how...
As per the firmware developer here:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linksys_WRT320N_v1.0
... this router doesn't support the 30/30/30 reset process due to wrong gpio wiring.
I found the firmwares to install (mini, then std or big) but I have not found instructions that are applicable to this router in specific.
I know you're supposed to install mini by reseting to default then upload mini -> RESET --> install any other firmware above it (big) --> RESET and that's it, however I don't know how to do the RESET part as the 30/30/30 is not supported by the 320n.
Can someone kindly clarify the instructions or point out a link to flashing the 320n?

Hello,
If I install dd-wrt on my 320n, will it affect the operation of "Network Defender" or "Network Magic"? I have a registered copy and would like to keep it operating without any problems.
