Hello, I've been having some trouble simply setting dd-wrt up. I've tried reading through the wiki and a few searches in both forums (keywords: cannot connect to internet, no internet access, etc).
Here are my specs:
Linksys WRT54G Version 2
dd-wrt v23

I was trying to boost the wireless signal and I flashed it according to the instructions I grabbed from wiki as well as a blogger's site:
1) I flashed to mini
2) reset factory settings
3) flashed to standard
4) reset factory settings
5) set my xmit to 70 (default was 28 )

I'm unable to connect to the internet via the router or wifi. My laptop recognizes the wifi connection, and allows me to connect, but I still cannot access any webpages.
I've tried enabling the MAC clone and saving settings, but that didn't work. I've also tried resetting the router through the button.
Perhaps there is some sort of sequence I need to go through to fix this?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks a bunch!

Some have found overclocking to 216 helpful with v2...

In particular, look for "Solution NR 3" after clicking on the link below:

I'm not sure why you just couldn't use the dd-wrt gui to facilitate the overclocking, though.

Finally, you may wish to consider using a more recent (multi-language) build.

Good luck

Wait, he has a WRT54G V2, not V2.2.

I also have WRT54G V2 and I have attempted to over clock it and my router ended in an endless reboot loop.

Unless you want to try unbricking techniques with your router do not overclock a WRT54G V2.

For V2.2 overclocking is a must.

Plese upgarde to DD-WRT 2.3 SP1 final or, as mahenry recomeded, go to one of the newer multi-language builds.

After you upgrade, remember to clear the NVRAM, just to be sure the problem is not related to some old paramter.

DId you clone the wired MAC address?
