dir 300 install problem

I am getting a message after the %(FREEMEMLO)load etc.. of the install (DIR300,)apparently I am not giving the correct memory address? I repeatedly followed the install precisely as written but I'm not getting anywhere.
Any ideas guys, I'm out of my depth and heading deeper...
