My bandwidth wireless is still narrowed to about 25mbit.
With my other router I get the full bandwidth (46mbit tested with www.speedtest.net)
But my laptop has a strong wireless-n 135mbit connection.
Update:
Something to mention is that when I run a speedtest my network connection drops from 135mbit to 54mbit.
Tested with a download program, when I download somthing it also drops down to a 54mbit connection.
So under load it drops down.
Realy strange, so I think it still has something to do with the wireless drivers. Because when I do a speedtest trough the wired connection I get the full 46mbit.
i dumped the DIR-600 my new ISP gave me and use now a good old WRT54GL. i installed it into my newly purchased TP-Link WR1043ND so not sure the performance of previous version. But when I first time try the OpenVPN service (the main reason I got that to replace my D-Link dir-600), I connected and tried to copy a 1.5G file over OpenVPN -- completed after 55mins. Then when the VPN tunnel became idle, the router hanged. I need to have family member back home to restart the router again then it get back online. So I immediately disabled the OpenVPN service as I have a site running on it too. Too bad....
Was the OpenVPN very stable in previous build? Thanks!
Because of the 4MB flash, its limited on what can be included in the firmware.
Custom images would have to be made and certain things removed to get what you want in the firmware.
Not sure if Brainslayer is willing to make custom firmwares for the Ralink chipsets. _________________ Soylent Green Is People !

1) Depends on the size of the newer drivers. If they are larger, Brainslayer may have to remove something else from the firmware in order to make it fit into 4MB of flash (I think it's actually like 3.6MB size limit)
2) Depending on what they did to the drivers, might be a bit of work for Brainslayer to get it working with DD-WRT
Someone @ home could try and compile their own RaLink based firmware from source... I have no idea how to do that.
I have 3 WHR-G300N's and I try different firmwares.
1 has Buffalo Stock firmware, 1 DD-WRT, and 1 has Wive-NG-RTNL firmware on it
