On my dir-825 rev B1, i'm running this firmware of dd-wrt.. pretty smooth so far..
WLAN speeds are pretty good.. at least as good as stock firmware 2.02 (2.03 was attrocious).. I had to tweak settings to get them up..
A few questions..
What should i do with tx power and antenna gain (stock antenna).. should i leave them at 20/0 or set to 20/7 or higher? (is there a replacement antenna set for both 2.4/5ghz i could put on that would increase speed at a given range?)
WAN speeds at first were bad.. 9 mbps.. should be about 45.. at least this is what they were on stock firmware (comcast).. I rebooted, now its up to 30 or so.. not horrible.. anything to tweak there.? No cpu issues, alot of the services are set to disabled already. (I did the 30/30/30 firmware update technique)
I've set Qos to enabled for LAN & WLAN.. but made no other changes on that page.. is this the same as the multimedia setting on the stock firmware?
In the future, can i just do a regular, non 30/30/30 firmware update, via the firmware update page, to goto newer releases?
Finally.. where do i set reservations for dhcp clients?
Thanks for any help
