Email bandwidth report on a threshold/cap

Hi Guys

I'm trying to create a script that will Email me on the 28th of each month, if the bandwidth has reached on gone over a set limit.

e.g if the total bandwidth = or > 10GB

Any help would be appreciated.

As an alternative, turn on the RFlow service in DD-WRT and point it to a server on your LAN running ntop or one of the packages from here:

http://www.networkuptime.com/tools/netflow/

In addition to being able to alert you when bandwidth thresholds are reached, the NetFlow analysers will break down all the traffic by source and destination host and application.
