Thanks to Eko for getting the device supported.
Special thanks to a9988cd for donation, Tornado and redhawk0 for all the work and testing.

Linksys WRH54G is a 2MB device using micro builds, but does not CFE replacement. Always use special firmware built for WRH54G only, even for later GUI upgrades.

[edit] Upgrading to dd-wrt:

  1. Download WRH54G micro build dd-wrt.v24-12548_WRH54G_micro.bin (or other special WRH image)
    • eko builds have disappeared, use 14929 micro_WRH54G.bin
    • Don't use this image on any other router - for WRH54G only!
  2. Restore to defaults
  3. Open upgrade page, select downloaded firmware
  4. Upgrade
  5. When it comes back, be sure to press reset button for 5 sec to restore dd-wrt's factory defaults

[edit] Reverting back to original firmware:

  1. Download WRH54G firmware from Linksys
  2. Restore to defaults
  3. Open upgrade page, select the firmware
  4. Upgrade
  5. When it comes back, be sure to press reset button for 5 sec to restore factory defaults
