Hi there I am new to the dd-wrt scene.
I have a wrt54gl as my main router however before taking the plunge with this device i would like to try the process on something expendable.
I have a Netgear WGR614 v6, i cracked it open and the specs are as follows;
CPU: BCM5352KPBG (Broadcom)
Flash: 29LV160CBTC - 90G (2Mbyte)
Ram: k4s641632 - uc75 (8 Mbyte)
FCC ID: PY305100002
From the supported devices list it appears the flash and ram specs are the same as the v9, however the CPU revision is different.
Will the "dd-wrt.v24_micro_generic.bin" work on this device?
Any advice or solutions would be great.
Thx in advance

I did a search, and most people who have the v6 only have 1MB flash. Seems you are the lucky one with 2MB.
Developers can probably add support for it, but it's hard for me to say whether or not micro will work as is.

My apologies if the images are too big.
I can't access my hosting from work so i have added the images as attachments.
Sorry about the shaky photo but the details are still clearly visable.
Thanks in advance

The router is hopeless with the current firmware, so I will definitely give it a try.
I am currently busy with work, howeverI will report back as soon as I have completed the flash, and let you know if it has been successful or not.
Thanks for the advice

Ok before I try and start I am assuming from the wiki that a need a Serial flash firmware.
Also am I correct in thinking that "dd-wrt.v24-9517_NEWD_SF_micro.bin" is the latest version?
Thanks in advance

No, this one has normal - parallel flash. You can try with latest micro. Problem is that it's not running linux, so maybe it just won't take/boot any linux firmware.

If the tftp transfer fails would the next step be to try jtag?
The header is already soldered to the board.
thx again
