Dear Sash / Brainslayer
Do you have nay idea about "channel bonding"?
Suppose we have dual radio node like SBC 250. Assume that we establish a Point To Point link with similar radio using 2 antennas at each end. Can we combine the throughput of both radio cards into single ethernet port.
This I understand as channel bonding and claimed to produce 500Mbps (108X4) in a quad radio node Point To Point link, by XRF Tech (Architron Systems USA) any such possibility in DD-WRT ??

yes, possible

in newer versions there is also a special bonding mode named "duplex". so you can use 2 cards. one for transmission, one for receive _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? Hi,
I thank you for the answer.
Please consider I am a novice in this field and will be expressing so many doubts that might look silly.
I understand that in "Channel Bonding" mode, all the radios transmit at same time and receive at same time, in-order to avoid interference. is it correct??
Is it possible to establish a much bigger point to point (PTP) line like (200Mbps or so) in channel bonding mode?
what could be the practical difficulties in this type of application??
configure both radios to wds ap (and for the second device to wds sta)
set them to unbridge, but dont configure a ip for these radios.
then go to setup->networking and create a bonding with the desired mode and add both interfaces to it (ath0 and ath1)
then add the bond interface to the existing bridge by using "assign to bridge"
its pretty simple if you know how

this is physically not possible. in duplex one card will receive and the other will send simultaneously. in the other modes all cards will alternate between sending and receiving

yes, its only dependens on how many cards u will have in your router und the cpu power.

Quick question: is it true duplex? or is it a psuedo-duplex? Reason I ask is that if the tx channel requires an ack back over the same ota channel, then it won't be of much use for long haul links. It would be great if you got rid of the acks. Then you could just use a unidirectional amp on the tx and create very long links.
