I'm trying to find out if this router is flashable? I've flashed a lot of V1.0's but my recent order on routers sent v2.2R .

I know the guide says no on v2.1R but these are V2.2R.

Thanks!

I have been the (un)fortunate recipient of several of these tew-652brp 2.2r routers.

dd-wrt team, I know that these will not be supported. Would someone in the team be kind enough and let us know the technical reasons for it not being supported?

Realtek 8196B CPU does not have documentation, the Realtek wlan chip does not have documentation etc.?

Thanks in advance.

The above info is from one of them. If there is interest, I can post info from the other 3 that I have.

If you need hi-res pictures, let me know of what, and I will post them. The PCB is similar to what is posted at:

I know the answer so I will reply on their behalf.

Realtek makes crap cpu's and even more crap wlan chips and the developers has no interest in supporting hardware where the final result will be crap.

LOM, I didn't know that there was a "known incompatible devices" list somewhere on dd-wrt. Very Happy Thanks for pointing it out, I'll bookmark it.

In any case, sorry about the bother. Will distribute these routers to family/friends who don't need dd-wrt.
