Router: TP-Link TLWR941N v3
Firmware: 27147
Kernel: Linux 3.10.79 #2388
Status: QoS enabled breaks WLAN
Reset: no
Errors: no
Enabled QoS > WLAN drops packets and clients disconnects
Disabled QoS > all works fine (some TX DMA errors and "xt_CT: No such helper "ddtb"" in dmesg)
LAN and Qos works fine together.
An update: WLAN is unstable with QoS disabled too.
Works fine for about 12 hours and clients start to drop packets. No errors on dmesg or interface counts.
Please let me know how can I help to point what is going on. _________________ TP Link TL941NDv3

Downgrade to 27096 and WLAN is stable again, maybe a kernel issue? _________________ TP Link TL941NDv3

What version is the kernel on r27096?

Starting with build 27119 the Linux Kernel was migrated to more recent versions on certain routers; see this line taken from the changelog in my signature:
Mod: Port units to K3.10/K3.18 http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/3280#comment:97
Your router TL-WR941Nv3 had K3.5 on build 27096, but now it's K3.10 on latest 27147. That might be a good thing, but sometimes it's not (newer kernel is not always the best).
WR941Nv3 has the same WiFi as the WR1043NDv1: Atheros AR9103, so you might experience the exact same issues as WR1043NDv1 users do. Start reading this long thread here, and you'll understand that it's just outdated, buggy hardware: http://wwwn.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=951251#951251 _________________ THERE ARE NO STRANGERS HERE; ONLY FRIENDS YOU HAVEN'T YET MET.

After reading your link, I think I'm facing the same problem.
But, with kernel 3.5 WLAN is stable, so I we keep this release at least until 3.18 is released.
Thanks _________________ TP Link TL941NDv3

The hardware is crappy yeah, but it has never received such a great dd-wrt build like 27096. Been running it on 4 1043 units of my family without a single wireless drop so far, even under heavy traffic.
I would vote to return these units to kernel 3.5 if that was possible, as they are not likely to receive focus on development anymore.

I'm wondering if someone was able to run successfully OpenVPN on this build? _________________ TP-Link TL-WDR3600 v1

One thing I've noticed with this build on both of my routers (TL-WDR3600 & DIR-615/E3), is that sometimes the web GUI doesn't respond. I go to http://192.168.1.1 and get a blank page. After loading it over and over again, it finally comes up. With the build before this one, my DIR-615/E3 completely failed to respond when trying to access the web GUI via wireless and wired; I had to reset the router and it then started responding.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
I'm experiencing a similar thing - Netgear WNDR3700 V1 and DLink DIR615 E3.
