Not gonna lie, I'd feel better if Barryware responded it was ok.

My new policy is not to take advice at face value from someone on forums who has less than 500-1000 posts :/

Thanks for the vote of confidence but my vote has nothing to do with anything.

That build is fine for your router.

It is a trailed build (trailed means the name of your router is in the name of the file), which you must have for the initial flash from stock firmware. this is cuz the bin file has a special header that the stock firmware will accept as a valid file for the flash.

It is a K26 build (this gets confusing.. V24(version), K24(kernel version), K26(new kernel version)).

Your router will only run a K26 build. As you know, flashing a K24 build will brick you router Razz

After the initial flash of the trailed build, you can flash any build you want with any of the features you need as long as it is a K26 build and your router supports the flash size.. mini, std, std plus or minus lots of different stuff, etc. You don't have to flash a diff build. I run mini on a bunch of my stuff cuz I don't need the features of the larger builds.. No sense in running mega or big on a router you use as a client bridge.

Knowing what your router supports is pretty much up to you. Lots of info in the wiki. The supported devices grid I refer to all the time cuz I work with a lot of diff routers. There is an install wiki specifically for your router.

Have fun.. Don't be scared..

Can I use that one to do the initial flash whenever I get the router back from RMA?

ALWAYS follow the wiki for initial flashing. If you suspect the info in the wiki is incorrect, ask.

Barryware knows his stuff, so listening to him is prudent too.
