I have been looking for a firmware that supports a 3G usb modem (Novatel USB727 w/Verizon). I have found other firmwares that support different 3G modems, but not one that has the drivers for this one. The Rev B does support, and has the same chipset, but a different flash size. I don't know much about compiling, but would it be possible to integrate the required driver into either DD-WRT or the stock firmware for just one modem (4MB flash size limit comes into play). I'm just looking for someone who has the knowledge and experience to help out with this. Thank you.
I know the builds available won't work for the 4MB flash, that's why I was asking for help with compiling a custom firmware. I know there is a site that has an asus stock firmware with a mod for 3g drivers installed, I was just hoping someone here had the know-how to help me do my own, I don't know where else to post. Thanks again.

no usb support in 4mb flash
Just noticed this thread as I have a Linksys E3000 with Sputnik version of DDWRT that has 3G Support, as I have used it. The ASUS RT-N13U B1 has 8mb flash, and the Sputnik 3.3.7.9.1 3G has supported my E3000 but I have the ASUS and wanted to use it with the 3G Huawei modem I have.
It is possible? _________________ Wifi Crusader in Australia, every coffee machine in Australia should have a DD-wrt modem.
