I bought EOC-2610 Wireless Access Point/Client Bridge about 3 weeks ago and I haveinstalled it on my roof top and used about 25 meters
of cable to attach it to POE and to my PC.
I was using it as a client bridge without any problem until 2 days ago,
when suddenly it started to act weird. My internet
connection was disconnected and I realized that the
device restarted itself (like when there is an
interruption in power and after reconnecting the power
device starts to reboot). From that night until now
the problem is continuing and in every half an hour
(more or less) device gets disconnected and connected
again (I can see my LAN connection gets Unplugged and
Plugged every time).
In order to resolve the problem I have double checked
all my cables (actually I have changed all my cables),
and I have also tried another Ethernet card, and even
another PC. I have also moved the POE to the nearest
possible distance from the device (about 5 meters) but
there is no change in the problem.

What can cause this problem?
Is there anything to check or try?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Get the latest beta firmware. The one in my sig has been working fine for me.

25M cable should be fine, Im using 59Ms of cable with POE on mine.

Also are your using client bridge or just client mode?
Because client bride will disconnect your computer if it loses connection to the AP where just client mode will still stay connected just no net.

Failing all that reset it to defaults with reset button then reconfigure it to be sure its not a setting you have on by accident.

Theres no dd wrt firmware with that number. So I guess your using the orignal firmware which isnt supported here. Go to the Senao website to get support.

The power adjust only lets your adjust it to the highest the hardware supports.

The 2610 already uses its max.
Things like linksys wrt54g are turned down from stock because they arnt reliable at full power and or over heat.

Still turning it up to 256 wont mean your getting 256 you will be getting the most the hardware can pump out.
In the linksys wrt54g case it most likly is only getting up to 100mw then its just destorting.

And one last thing, Power isnt everything.
Good placement and a good antenna can make a lower powered ap work better then a high powered one.
