the wrv4 has a kendin KS8995M which is different fron the one the wrt300v2 uses so the swithc wont work

hold on. it just poped up in my mind that the actiontec mi424 uses the same switch. so could u plz try to flash the actiontec build and see what happens on the serial log?

I was trying to flash this WRV54G with the MI424 firmware without any success. What I was doing is:
Code:
fis init
load -r -b load -r -b %{FREEMEMLO} linux.bin
fis create linux
{reboot}
fis load linux
exec

and it did not work at all:
Code:
RedBoot> fis load linux
RedBoot> exec
Using base address 0x00021c00 and length 0x006e3000

and that's it. Can someone tell me what am I doing wrong ?

Sorry to unbury this old one...

Is anyone making progress or is it a dead end device?

Is it worth sending in hardware on an old platform like this?

If no time is going to be spent on porting it should it still be listed as "wip"?
