1. eoc-5610, in sealed box.
2. opened at client site, do some testing (checking coverage, transmission speeds, etc).
3. i've put it back in the box, going back to the lab to configure it for the final installation.
4. arrived at lab, open it, power it up, only PWR led on, and WLAN with fast and random flashing. No link at LAN port. Reset does not work. Looks like a bricked/faulty device. The device has been powered for 30 minutes at first time, after two hours, does not work anymore.
What should I do ?
Try to update/rewrite firmware ?
Send it back for warranty ?
The LAN port is not working, and the WLAN it's not available, either in 2.4 or 5ghz
yeah sash.. no lan.. nothing.. I send to my provider.. and they say it has lan port burned, so they cant change it.. so.. now.. I'll try the JTAG recovery.. sash do you have the redboot files of this unit??
lan port burnt means a hw damage. its a doorstop now. the only possilbe way to get it live is to desolder the ethernet phy and add a new one. but there can be even more damaged! u did use the wrong psu or poe injector. _________________ Forum Guidelines...How to get help

so my plans are to use a dlink DWL-2100AP as a jtag flasher.. I going to build the wiggler cable again.. Ive experience with RTL8186 + JTAG

please dont use the powerstation 5 bootloader. same chipset, yes. but the powerstation has 16 mb ram instead of 32. so the dram controler will not get correct initialized. the ram values are hardcoded in the bootloader. so you cannot use it _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? thanks for your warning brainslayer.. I write to engenius support but no answer, and then oswave too, nothing.. and then I thought of this extracting from the bootloader from PS5
wo mr brainslayer what do you suggest?

I desolder the flash IC and solder into a WRT54Gv6 to use a JTAG flasher.. because I didnt found the jtag pinouts.
then I flash the cfe.bin to try if I will work... and then worked.. I probed with tftp and worked perfect...
now the main propose, 1st time I flash the OSWave_to_Original_Firmware_EOC5610.bin.. using hairydairymaid.. but as it doesnt support my flash memory.. I use MX29LV320 (4mb) and didnt work.. 2nd time.. I flashed the PS5 bootloader.. again didnt work..
the problem I guess is the hairymaiddairy program, cause doesnt include the MX29LV640 flash support (8Mb)
